Something Uncommon

I just had to share this with you. On Sunday February 17, 2008 we had a move of the Spirit in church that was most uncommon. As we worshipped God there was a certain sound that came into our sanctuary that made it appear as though we were filled to overflowing capacity. The testimony of many was that there were angels among us. All I know is that it sounded like there were a whole lot more people in church than were actually there. Believe me we're not some weird bunch of folks who are looking for weird stuff to happen. However we are open to experiencing the move of the Spirit. We love to worship God and we know He loves us to worship Him.

In the New Testament in Matthew's gospel, every time people worshipped the Lord something happened. People were healed, they went and did something or Jesus performed some sort of miracle. I really don't think it was coincidence that those who worshipped the Lord experienced such things.

Because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, I certainly believe He is still responding via the Holy Spirit to the needs of man. Men and women who are serious about being in the presence of God cannot be in His presence and He not do anything on their behalf. The Lord wants the very best for us. He wants us to be free in every area of our lives.

Think about the times you've totally surrendered to the Lord because you had nobody else you could count on. In actuality we should be living our lives in a surrendered worshipful state at all times. It's so easy to slip away into our own way of doing things.

Here's a good clue for all of us. "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto us." Matthew 6:33

Stay blessed,

Pastor Cedric
