Still Talking Ourselves into Victory

The more you think about something, the more you're apt to say it. That's why it's so important to think on things that are lovely, pure and of a good report. The Bible declares as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. It would seem apparent that as a man speaks with his mouth he's making himself as well.

I posed a question last Sunday that challenged our congregation regarding our words over the last week. Were you able to speak the words that edified yourself or others?Speaking ourselves into victory isn't as easy as we think it is. Because we are so used to speaking on our own terms and not on the terms God has instructed us. The key is that God's principles work no matter what. Whatever we have in abundance in our hearts will come out eventually. So the best thing we can do is put the word of God in our hearts more and more.

How on purpose can you be regarding how you speak? A bigger question is how on purpose do you want to be regarding how you speak? For those of us who have been committed to living the life of faith, we have a responsibility to live in victory and the way we start is by talking ourselves into victory.

I hope you're committed to living in victory because there are so many people who deserve to live better and they need to see God working in somebody like you and me. I'm committed, are you?

Stay blessed,

Pastor Cedric
